Visualisation Techniques

Visualisation is asking for what you want

Meditation is all about receiving intuitive information whereas visualisation is about asking or creating what it is you want to receive. You must know what you want before you ask for it or receive it.

Visualisation is simply a mental rehearsal. You create images in your mind of having or doing whatever it is that you want. You then repeat these images repeatedly, daily for about five minutes a day. In your five-minute practice, use your imagination to see yourself being successful in whatever goal you may have. The only catch is you FEEL it emotionally as you visualise it.

What you focus on, you attract.

The key to visualising is to always visualise that you already have what you desire. This is a mental trick. Rather than hoping you will achieve it, or building confidence that one day it will happen, live and FEEL it as if it is happening to you now. On one level you know this is just a mental trick, but the subconscious mind cannot distinguish between what is real and what is imagined. Your subconscious will act upon the images you create within, whether they reflect your current reality or not.

A three-step guide to Visualisation

STEP 1.

Imagine sitting in a movie theatre, the lights dim, and then the movie starts. It is a movie of you doing perfectly whatever it is that you want to do better. See as much detail as you can create, including your clothing, the expression on your face, small body movements, the environment and any other people that might be around. Add in any sounds you would be hearing — traffic, music, other people talking, cheering. And finally, recreate in your body any feelings you think you would be experiencing as you engage in this activity.

STEP 2.

Get out of your chair, walk up to the screen, open a door in the screen and enter into the movie. Now experience the whole thing again from inside of yourself, looking out through your eyes. This is called an “embodied image” rather than a “distant image.” It will deepen the impact of the experience. Again, see everything in vivid detail, hear the sounds you would hear, and feel the feelings you would feel.

STEP 3.

Finally, walk back out of the screen that is still showing the picture of you performing perfectly, return to your seat in the theatre, reach out and grab the screen and shrink it down to the size of a cracker. Then, bring this miniature screen up to your mouth, chew it up and swallow it. Imagine that each tiny piece — just like a hologram — contains the full picture of you performing well. Imagine all these little screens traveling down into your stomach and out through the bloodstream into every cell of your body. Then imagine that every cell of your body is lit up with a movie of you performing perfectly. It’s like one of those appliance stores windows where 50 televisions are all tuned to the same channel.

When you have finished this process — it should take less than five minutes — you can open your eyes and go about your business. If you make this part of your daily routine, you will be amazed at how much improvement you will see in your life.

Create Goal Pictures and Vision Boards

Another powerful visualization technique is to create a photograph or picture of yourself with your goal, as if it were already completed. If one of your goals is to own a new car, take your camera down to your local auto dealer and have a picture taken of yourself sitting behind the wheel of your dream car. If your goal is to visit Paris, find a picture or poster of the Eiffel Tower and cut out a picture of yourself and place it into the picture.

Find or create a picture of every aspect of your dream life. Create a picture or a visual representation for every goal you have — financial, career, recreation, new skills and abilities, things you want to purchase, and so on. Put the images up on a vision board in a spot that you will see daily or better still a few times a day.

4 Easy ways to perfect Visualisation

1. Establish your Goal

Decide on something you would like to have, enjoy, be, work toward or create. It can be a new love, a better relationship, a job, a business success, an internal healing from past hurt, more happiness or health or peace with someone with whom you’re in conflict.

2. Create a Detailed, Sensually-Rich Picture of Your Goal like it is already attained

Create a mental “scene” of your desired outcome as if it already achieved – and visualize it as happening right now. As real as what’s currently around you. In your imagination, what do you see? What do you hear? What’s moving in that picture? What is still? What can you smell or touch or taste? Who’s in it? How do they feel? How do you feel in that picture? Include as many sensual details as you can.

3. Focus, Repeat, Focus, Repeat, Focus

Repetition adds extra power to your visualization. Try this – put an alarm on your phone and place yourself in that “scene” several times a day – even every hour on the hour. Integrate the feeling of this imagined “current” reality into your day and night – and it will blend into who you are. Its inevitability will grow more and more natural and “evident” to your brain; the desired reality will increasingly feel as if it is already your reality. All you need to do is step into it, action-by-action.

4. Add a Surge of Positive Energy

As you focus on your goal, now add in positive, encouraging vibes. Make strong positive statements to yourself: that your goal exists; that it has already come or is now coming to you. That it is good. That good is coming to you.

Now, blend into that mix your own positive emotions, laugh, smile, and celebrate the victory as it is occurring in your imagination. When you add these “affirmations” in the spirit of celebration, you naturally dissolve inner resistance, self-doubt and negative habits of thought. You suspend disbelief and reinforce experiencing the feeling that what you desire is real, good, possible and enjoyable as it is occurring in the moment, now.

Visualisation is so easy to do but you must be consistent if you want to achieve your goal. Subscribe to this blog and find out how my visualisation created over $85,000.00 for me in six short months.

If you want to increase your Intuitive Awareness one easy way is to learn how to do Flower Readings. You connect with your emotions before you intuitively choose your flower and when you ‘read’ the flower it tells you what your intuition is wanting you to know.
